NeedHelp (formerly Needelp): Handymen Among Your Neighbours

NeedHelp is a jobbing platform between individuals. Formerly called Needelp, the company changed its name at the end of 2018 to make it easier to remember. At Cocolis, we know the NeedHelp team well, as we shared the same offices at the beginning.

This service allows you to find a “jobber” who will help you with your work (DIY) and everyday tasks: cleaning, gardening, etc. It also works for moving help, but for a move we rather recommend you turn to Cocolis or Cocolis PRO!

Jobbers are verified and rated after each helping hand given on the platform. They can be individuals or professionals (self-employed or companies). You can check their reviews and trust badges before selecting your jobber. NeedHelp is simple and efficient!

How was NeedHelp (formerly Needelp) created?

“Before, I worked in banking and never had time to go to the dry cleaner. One evening, coming home, I bumped into my neighbour who had his freshly cleaned clothes under his arm. I joked: ‘You’re lucky you made it before closing!’ He replied that next time he could pick up my things too, as he worked part-time and had spare time. I realised that by helping each other as neighbours, everyone wins. And it’s simple and friendly! That’s how Needelp was born.” – Guillaume de Kergariou

What services does NeedHelp offer?

We offer all kinds of services: DIY, moving, delivery, gardening, small jobs. From kitchen installation, furniture assembly, to putting up shelves and flooring... everyone can find what they need.

There are many advantages: the NeedHelp platform connects you with a trusted jobber in just a few clicks and at prices on average two to three times cheaper. This saving is mainly due to the logic of ‘disintermediation’. Thanks to the power of the NeedHelp platform, you can call on a trusted jobber flexibly and without any middleman. You decide.

NeedHelp jobbers are individuals or professionals (self-employed or companies). All profiles are verified and rated after each helping hand given on the platform. Reviews and trust badges are visible on their profile. To reassure its clients, the startup has set up a satisfaction or redo guarantee.

The jobbing platform has set up several partnerships with brands such as Brico Dépôt or Castorama. Their customers can thus find someone to give them a hand.

What’s a typical day like at Needelp?

There’s no typical day at Needelp, no two days are the same, but I’d say:

• In the morning, everyone gets started on their projects early and in a good mood,
• Around 10am it’s break time and there’s always Romain, our business developer, who’s there to crack a joke.
• At noon, everyone eats together.
• In the afternoon, everyone gathers to discuss and share ideas and challenges.
• To finish, there’s a relaxing moment in the evening all together, sometimes bowling or a beer. Always friendly as ever!

Needelp is a project that brings together many values at once, but I’d say: innovative, high-performing, and social.

What could you send with Cocolis?
